2002 trx90 no spark

Recently picked up an 02 trx90 for cheap. The guy claimed it had a bad CDI. Got the new CDI installed today and still no spark. Replaced the plug as well. Bike has good compression and all wires seem to be intact. Where and/or how should I look next?

Stator..... also there are two wires that seem to fail AND for the life of me I can't remember the colors.......they are in the cdi harness....

Is there a way to test the stator? What are the chances of me getting a bad aftermarket CDI?

I'd say the cdi is not your problem. Go onto ebay and find a stator.

not sure if this would matter or not, but after the quad quit running, the guy just left it sit on his back patio for 8 months, in the weather.
