Over Carbing ????????

is there such thing as over carbing the motor, im buying a carb off of la400ex and the carb has a 170 main jet and 42 pilot jet will this be fine for my 250x ????thanks , Trent

You will have to rejet it......obviously...its not the same motor.

Yes you will have to rejet it. putting a 400 carb on a 300 is a great idea. so nope it will be fine..

yes you can put on to big a carb for engines i have seen it done on cars. (hurts the low end) gas just kinda falls out the carb.

o thanks for the replies, what jetting do you think i should run ?? im not it the mountains and not to far from the mountains , what do you guys run jetted ? what #main jet and what # pilot jet ??thanks, Trent
