Hey I got a 89 chevy Z-71 and my buddy has his own shop and he put my exhaust together. We took the cat off and went with the dynomax ultraflow race muffler 3" in/ 3" out. Then went dual 2 1/2" pipes out at the corners. Sounds really good, thoaty sound. Its nice because it sounds different then everyone elses. But on my next truck I'm going true duals with Flowmaster 40 series and headers. Its the only way to go.

I highly recommend the Borla exhaust for the rams. My one best friend has it on his 2001 dodge and it sounds so sweet. Definately go with that. If not go with flowmaster. I got them and so does my other best friend. they have a great sound and give a nice little gain in hp.

I have 96 Ram with Duals and.........it sounds pretty mean!!! I've had people come up to me and tell me that the truck growls. So far what I've seen, Dodge's with Duals and Chevy's sound pretty good, Ford?? I haven't heard one that sounds good at all. To me it almost seems like a waste to put an exhaust on a Ford, they prrrr more than growl.

hey man have you heard of lou's custom exhaust? they're in north reading MA. I had my truck done there last year AND THEY DO THE BEST WORK

they ask if you want quiet, medium or loud lol..then it takes like a 1/2 hour and they do fully custom work ,all welded, no clamp junk...they rule!

My exhaust is all welded and I'm not sure how I feel about that now either??? I think I would rather have clamps just in case something needed to be changed or something.

It's not illegal to have duals or glasspacks. as long as there is a catylitic(sp?) and there is a muffler. Usually the reason people get pulled over is because some are really loud and certain cities have a noise ordinense.
