Clutch issues

Lately the shift peg on my fourwheeler has been falling off and im pretty sure the threads are stripped. I was riding everywhere in fourth gear because i could not shift. I tried to shift it down with my hands while it was off. I turned it back on and took off but the clutch seemed not to work at all and i could rev it up but it had no power. Also, when the fourwheeler is off and stuck in fourth gear, i can move it back and forth as if its in neutral. Whats the problem here?

smoked your clutch. get a new shifter and a clutch kit. even though you can change out the clutch without changing the oil it would probally be best to change it. i bet there is all kind of clutch debris in the engine.

Thanks for the advice but turns out the only thing i had to do was adjust the clutch
