Hey everyone. Bill from Australia here. I am looking for some help on setup for a raptor 125 for mx.

I will be doing engine work to take it to 15hp. But I am not sure what size a-arms to go with.

+2 or +3?? will the +3 make it too wide for a 9 year old to handle or not. Also running +3 I have only seen +2 brake cables?

with widening the front i will also widen the rear with by changing the axle. Question is should the back stance be wider or narrower than the front??

I think i will go with fox evol's + podium for shocks Are these made to suit the rider weight as such or do you just adjust the air in them?

If anyone has built one of these 125's up would be great share some pictures and ideas. Thanks for your time.

Cheers

IF YOU MAKE THE REAR narrower there is more traction, wider more stable. Foe indoor ( Tight ) tracks i see the mini's run narrower, i beleive it also helps them turn quicker. For my kids only running MX, i would go +3 in front if everything is available. I'm sure brake lines +3 from the 250 would work.. just my $.02 worth.

Take a look at mxdad423's post....Brandon's quad is the one you need to copy. It is the best example of how this machine should be set up for mx. It's got JB components and Fox.
PM him and find out how - what - where......
