Just picked up a mint 05 today. Its been sitting for two years so it runs a little rough but literally not a bit of rust any where.

It has a white bros e2 slip on and pro design filter so while I was cleaning the carb I was going to rejet for these mods as well.

Im coming from a 450r so I have no idea where to start. I looked at the jetting thread but still wasnt sure. Im at about 1000-1500 feet and weather goes from about 75-90*.

Any help is appreciated!

Little off topic but I've got an 04-06 Yfz mechanics manual, one of the books the Yamaha dealer uses to work on them if you're ever interested. Helped me a lot with mine, too bad it was a junker.

I would start with a 45 pilot and 165 or 168 main

Ok I bought a 45 pilot, 168 main, 35 leak, and ncvq needle. I went to put the pilot in but it was the wrong size i guess? I thought all keihin jets were the same.. guess not. But I found out it already has a 48 pilot in it.

I threw the main and leak jet in.. still waiting on the needle to get delivered. Turned the air screw to about 3 turns out. Thing fired right up and runs great! Except
it feels like it runs out of gear really fast..
any ideas?

And rohr how much?

Idk probably like $30 plus shipping, it was a $75 manual so I don't want to sell it for cheap.
