Will a ignition switch/ key from a 03 work on a 06 400ex?

Think so, I dont think they changed the connectors.

I looked on eBay but it seems they r 99-04 then 05-12

That sucks. I dont have both of them side by side to compare to so I took a guess.

Its probably the same wiring but a different plug at the end.

They look exactly the same in the parts fische. I bet it would work, but for some reason Motosport doesn't have a part number for the '06 version, so I can't compare them to be certain.

Well I checked n 99-04 has 3 prong n a singl green wire, the 05-12 has 4 prong plug, but all colors r the same, thought about splicing, but I guess the proper fix is order a new style ignition off ebay
