A 465 kit will make ur motor less reliable because it is such a big bore. Also It will cost some major bucks to do it right. I am also pretty sure you will have to run race gas to keep the temperature down too. I dont recommend it unless you have a blown up 440 sittin in ur garage. I do know a 440 can be very reliable if it is built right and produce some really good HP. I would recommend a 440 over a 465 because if that 465 blows up you dont have many options.

Try not to go any larger than a 440 if you don't rebuild your engine every year. The 465 blow up a lot more.

I believe he is talking about a 465 stroker not a 465 big bore. I believe it is a 440 kit with a 2mm over stroke. From what I here those are awesome motors with hp in the 50's! Make sure if you get this, you don't use the stock rod, and always true and weld the crank.

I have a 463 stroker and love the power it puts out. It is extremely smooth and has tons more torqu than a 440. Since it uses the stock sleeve it is still quite reliable. We just put a drop in cam in it and mild trail porting for the woods. It puts out about 46 to 48 hp. From the other people I know with them they are very reliable. The kit like mine installed runs about 1500 from For Dirt Only. It includes stroke and balance crank custom rod custom piston 88mm bore (426) Trail porting cam and all labor. if you want more info on it call Mike at FDO phone # 740-967-1078.
