Hey guys my buddy is wanting to get a bigger bike he is 5ft 3in and is getting tired of his yz85 (stock) and he dosent want a 2 stroke anymore. We considered a 150 but there about as slow as his 85. so the next step is a 250f dose anyone know if he would be able to ride a 250f being 5'3''? if he could touch one foot good he could get used to riding it i think but we cant find any shops with 250's he can sit on. thanks guys.

there is like 3in between each one smitty. maybe a 125 would be closer but a 450 would be alfull tall

im 5ft 9, and sat on a 2011 kx250.. i could only put my tip-toes on the ground.. but a 250f ? im not sure of.. if i was you look up the seat height of the 250f you want and get a tape measure then see how tall it is on him..

EXAMPLE- if its 35.9in tall get a tape measure and pull out 35.9in and put it beside him and see if its to tall or not..

Get a 250F and adjust the suspension and get a lowering link.

If its still too tall get a seat chop.

My buddy has a 2005 KX250F and he was prolly about 5'4" when he got it.. He was in 7th grade... but anyways it sat about the same height as his KX100 when he got all those things done.

Scooping out the seat did more than we thought it would.

With a lowering link he could probably make it work. I ride with a guy who rides a YZ250 and he's only 5' 4". He sits on it funny stopped but he is a damn good rider in the expert class. He basically stands with one thigh on the seat. Lol.

he could ride it, when he stops he would have to sit with the back of one knee on the seat so he could touch his foot, lol

All full size bike are abut the same size. Set the suspension and sag and get a link if need be. Links throw geometry but if you're small they can be a big help

To tell you the truth, my kx250f doesn't feel all that big. I'd just chop the seat and call it good, remember a lot of the pro riders are 5'3 to 5'6 it seems
