since this quad was last serviced in january would i need to buy all new ball joints, new linkage, and tie rod ends and stuff like that? no problem if i do i would just like to know.

No, all bearings are in good shape. I think the axle carrier has two seasons on those bearing so they could use being freshened up I am sure.
