Ok I have a 05 450r and just bought a new set of 07 plastic. The plastic lines up pretty good under the tank, but right where the seat bends you can see right under it to the other side. I know an 06+ heat shield will help it line up better with a stock tank but will it do the same with a 04-05 IMS tank or will I be causing more problems than I'm fixing?
