Is the lowering kit hard to take in and out?

400man, quad looks good! just curious, whats that red piece down at the bottom on the right side of the motor? looks like a shield or something for the oil lines.

i REALLYY wanna ride a 400ex with 450r shocks to see how there like compared to my peps with remote rezzys. i really liked my peps and in the market for another set of shocks and would like to compare them

I'm not gonna say that they are the best but if you can find a nice pair for a decent price I would definitely buy them. They are a lot nicer than the stock pogo sticks and if you back the compression all the way off they make for a very smooth ride. I don't know how they would compare to the PEPs but then again they weren't made as an afternarket shock. It's an upgrade

hey quadmanw, how worn are your rear tires? could you measure them for me and see exactly how tall they are? I have gbc X-rex's with almost like new tread and they are only 19inchs tall (suppose to be a 20inch tire). I recently got some 23inch front x-rexs and they are a true 23 inchs.

I actually just mounted a set of brand new 20" Razr 2s for my 400. I'll measure them when I get them on tomorrow and let you know also.

My x rexs are about 95% they are fairly new, nubs barely worn off and with 5lbs of air mine measure just a hair under 19 lug to lug?

With 3 lbs. of air in mine they measure 20" exactly from lug to lug.

my buddy has 6hours on his xrex rears and his measure 19. Soooo we came to the conclusion xrexs are an inch smaller than razr 2s!!

well, I guess thats the difference between maxxis and gbc. my 20 inch gbc's measure right around 19 inchs tall from knob to knob. I just measured em the other day when I was mounting my new 23 inch front tires I got and when I stepped back to look at the bike I noticed how small it made the rear tires look.

i have 21 inch front x rexs and it makes my rears look huge lol but your quad looks kimda neat i got a pic of it saved on my phone with the 23inch fronts
