I am about to put on my 440 bb kit and wanted to know if just a oversized oil tank will solve the issue of the overheating. I dont really wanna add a extra oil cooler if i dont have too. Any suggestions?

As long as your jetting is on spot you really shouldn't have an overheating problem, I have a 440 big bore on mine and I never really have much of an overheating problem

If it's jetted perfect in the first place, in theory you shouldn't need any extra cooling. But the oversized tank should do the job, pop on a spall fan will help too.

CFM claims that the quad runs 20 degrees cooler with there tank. I've never tested it tho. It also looks nice ;)

Everyone is correct, my 440 ran stock temp's with correct jetting.
The oversized tank's are really nice, they look cool and do actually make you run cooler.
Good luck with your install, My 440 used a 220 main jet, depending on your mods and elevation you should be atleast 180 or more.
Some people say that porting make's for lower jetting, Mine isnt ported so I cant say if it's true or not.
Just use the www.jetsrus.com method for main jet tunning, start with a LARGE size jet like a 210, if it stutter's on the topend and doesnt fully rev out, drop sizes in incriments of 5 till it fully rev's out.
A 40-42 pilot would be a good idea also, needle should be fine in stock position.
