How much can 16cc's add to an engine? does it really make it pull that much harder? and what kit do u suggest on getting to run a 416

see not only are you adding displacement..youre adding compression and rev due to a lighter piston than oem ....im building one now...when you do a cam and all Everyone says you see an awesome gain

You'll notice the biggest difference with a good cam, even more if you add a bigger carb.

Exactly! Bump the compression and get a good cam and some porting on the head and maybe a carb. and you will be ready!

A 416 is a nice kit! When done right it is pretty fast. I had a 416 before I went with the 505,,,but of course I wish I would have never done the 416 because it was just a waste of money to a power hungry person like me. :)

I reccommend going with at least an 11:1 piston.

I finally got to ride mine for the first time today, on real trails. I wasn't giving it WOT yet, but I really liked the gains. Pulls hard throughout. We also had two other 400EXs there. One completely stock, one with a K&N, and a Yoshi slip on. Everyone agreed mine would stomp the others, no problem.

I put in a JE 10.8-1 piston, Hotcams stage II, K&N, Yoshi slip on. I also had it ported and polished.

Just for insurance, I also installed heavy duty valve springs, heavy duty clutch springs, and a heavy duty cam chain.

Just for *****s and giggles, I also put on new Elka fronts, Denton steering damper, RPM swingarm, Elka rear rebuild, stainless steel brake lines all around, new chain and sprockets.

I was amazed at the new shock setup.
