Can anyone tell me what you think i will get?

Last night i had a tiny party at my house, (literally 4 people) i guess its not even really a party..,.. and the cops showed up and gave me a ticket for illegal possesion of a alcoholic beverage.

I'm 17.

I know the fine is going to suck if i get one because there goes my rebuild money!

I know, im an idiot.

Luckly they didnt take me to jail, or Juvey or anything.

The real sh*tty part is, i seriously only had 2 beers. Idk what i blew on the breathalizer but it wasnt good.

And my parents are out of town, so they didnt have anyone to turn me over to, so they cuffed me and took me to my grandmas at midnight....

All this over 2 beers.

I swear i am done drinking for ever.

Also what should i plead? I guess guilty?

Haha boys will be boys Cody, it's too bad the cops are so anal. When I was 17 my old man would pick me up a 6 pack and drop me off to the party, and pick me up either in the AM or late at night. Taking you to your grandparents is a bit much if you ask me, especially with 4 people.

My one buddy had such a big party (at least 75 people in his house) anyway some older guys showed up before the cops, and the older guys took responsibility and said it was their place and they'd take care of it haha..

The thing that really sucks is, they cuffed me to take me to my grandmas. It pissed me off.

They had 6 sheriffs and a state boy in front of my house with me in cuffs for 4 people.

Actually not even 4, because only 2 of us got caught.

The first 2 that showed up were d*cks.

The next 2 that showed up were awesome.

I was in the back singing the bad boys song.

I asked them if we could be like Superbad and shoot some street signs or something... but they just looked at eachother.. guess they hadnt seen superbad.

I would imagine there is more to the story. Such as why did the cops get called in the first place?

If all you were charged with is possession of alcohol I wouldnt sweat it. Plead guilty take the fine and be on your way. That type of charge will not effect you later in life.

yeah, why did they get called to start with? Something had to have happened. When I was younger, I had stuff like that, 20 people, drugs, lots of bear, kept it very quiet and no trouble.

Well here's another bulls*** story for you that happened to me recently. Me and a friend are currently convicted with theft under $5000 and have to complete the youth diversion program to be able to not have to pay a fine, get probation, and have the charge removed from our youth record. Do you know what we stole? Each a can of pop from the grocery store. I don't suppose that no one else has taken a god damn can of pop or some kind of stupid little thing when they were a kid. Why the hell arrest us for it when everyone has done it, if the owner of the store would have just caught us and sat us down and all we wouldn't have ever did it again. But instead bring a couple of 15 year olds into the justice system over a f***ing can of pop. The program isn't just quick either, this happened two months ago and we still have to do the biggest parts of it in another 3 weeks, so theres a couple kids with a lot of guilt on their shoulders for quite a bit of time over something so damn stupid. Stupid hogs should be out there dealing with real problems, the cops are all di*ks here. Like holy crap someone just got murdered Joe, lets go!! Oh sh*t billy we can't worry about that right now some kid stole a can of coke let's roll!!!!!!

the reason the cops got called was because my d*ckhead neighbors hate me and they saw my buddy drinking a beer.

i know a few firefighters that said they heard the scanner say there was a call about minor consumption.

I have gotten hammered quite a few times, lots of times in public at races!

But the one time i drink at my house i get busted.. Idk

I guess thats why im so upset about it, because seriously we didnt do anything.

My buddy saw some of his friends next door so he went over to talk to them and he had a beer in his hand, and i guess one of the parents saw him and called it in.

I got a great idea. Don't steal, and it you won't have to pay the price for it.

I amazes me how many people whine about how stiff their punishments are. It's theft, you're stealing, you committed a crime, you should be god-da** good and thankful you even have the option of going through that program to have the charges dropped.

Yea man not to sound like a goody good here but why would you steal something like a can of soda in the first place? Stealing at all is just douchey but a can of soda is something im sure you had the change in your pocket for and now look what your going through...

Yeah guys I know, we did wrong, but we paid it back and did volunteer hours at the store. I just think it's pretty hard to slap 5000 dollar fine on it. The only thing I've ever taken in my life.

Hopefully you learned not to steal ANYTHING, if so then you just payed to figure out what most know, chalk it up as a lesson learned.

Yeah we learned alright, I don't ever wanna do anything bad again, just made me realize how much something small can hurt people. Although I'm not all that happy with the punishments, I'm glad we did get caught. Since then I've been a much better person, and I don't get as angry as I used to because I understand better that everybody makes mistakes sometimes and that's okay.

its still theft though. in the cop's eyes your a couple punk kids stealing sodas, that will eventually lead to bigger, more expensive things

i hate thieves, ive had a car broken into, and my bank account hacked. i bet when those guys were little they stole things like that too

Sounds like it did some good though. I bet a slap on the wrist wouldn't have changed you as much.

i wont steal anything now..not that i really would before but. my truck was ripped off a few weeks ago. with easily 500 dollars worth of work tools and another couple hundred in personal tools, riding gear, ipod, you name it. also just finished up my custom toolbox to fit stacks, put in some nice new locks and shocks, also filled with goodies. so im out nearly 10k. thank god i work with my dad and can hitch a ride to and from work.

its an awful feeling.

That sucks. Your neighbors are jerks cody.

Not much you can do but fess up to it, did they fully arrest and book you or did they just take you to grandmas?

if all you got was cuffed and a ride to grandmas and a ticket-its a fine and possibly probation at the worst. You got arrested your in big trouble.

I believe so, all is says is the court will contact you.

I talked to my buddy today and he said he got one of those last year but the court never mailed, or called him.

But heck i dont wanna be 25 and have a random warrant out for my arrest for an underage drinking due to a City mistake.
