Stickman400

Well about a month ago one of my friends decied to get back in the quad scene and bought a nice used 2006 450R and started racing up near Oskaloosa, IA. Well this last weekend he and another guy were going over a set of doubles and on the second double the other guy came up short and his back end clipped the lip of the landing and threw him off and sent his quad bucking up into the air right in the path of my friend. Well my friend was already in the air when this happen so he couldn't do anything and ended up clipping the other guys quad and getting thrown off of his. He got somersaulted a few times and somehow his helmet flew off and he took a dirt sample with his face, literally. Ended up shattering his nose, fracturing both cheek bones and the bone under the upper lip. Anyway needless to say he decided to call it quits and sell everything and get out of the sport for good while he could still walk.
Now I told you that story so I could say this. He ended up selling his 450 to me for $3,000 and that included a nice set of triple folding aluminum ramps and some other little things. 4 quarts of oil, 2 K&N oil filters, brand new motion pro clutch cable, 3 spark plugs, spark plug tool and a bottle of Engine Ice. The quad is a 2006 450ER that he converted to kick start after he had enough with messing around with the ****ty electric start on it. The motor is stock but it has a lot of aftermarket goodies. Here's a list from just looking it over, not 100% on everything though.
Frame and Sub-frame is PC'd red
Janssen Outlaw +2 A-Arms
Elka Stage 4 quad rate front shocks
Tag T2 bars
LSR stem (not sure on height)
K&N filter
2 line SS brake lines on front and SS brake line on back (not sure of the brand)
ASV levers
Tag metals bumper
Tag grab bar?
AC Racing Blackline nerfs
Wave rotor (not sure of the brand)
Full Jardine exhaust
Walsh Savior swinger and linkage
Fox podium rear shock with remote rezzy
LSR +4 axle
18" Holeshot SXs on ITP T-9? rear beadlock rims with almost new tread
20" Kenda Klaws on Hi-Per CF1 beadlock front rims and about 1/2 tread
Grey aftermarket plastics with Bomb Squad graphics kit and seat cover
Maier? hood
I think there is a few more small things but that's about it.
I've rode a few 450R's before but I'm so used to my 400s power that it always suprises me how quick these 450s get up and go. So needless to say after I rode it around my house I fear my 400 may never see the light of day again, and that's a shame after all the money I put into it. But that 450 is so insanely powerful and snappy that I couldn't really go back to the 400 and have fun. Anyway here is a few pics of it and a few up-close shots of the parts. It's still a little dirty since he didn't have any time to wash it with all the trips to the hospital and everything since the wreck. Let me know what you guys think. Did I get a good deal or what?
