250r, Ex 300ex??????

so heres what i just picked up and it looks like a darn ninja turtle,
looking at the vin number tells me its a 2002 300ex but the engine is a 250. can anyone shine some light on this im in need of a new clutch lever and all the cable that go to it.... ebay has the cables but since im new to the big boy world of ATVs vs my 212cc swap i did to a mini ATV found here http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=447411 so heres what i got, look to see what parts interchange and such

250x, 300ex or a mix of both. This is the 250r part of the atvriders forum and you can get more help for your quad in the part of the atvriders forum for it.....

all kidding aside the clutch cable should be the same for 250x (likely what the motor is) 300ex.

its a 250x motor, 300ex didn't have a kick start. I know several have put them on 300ex's, but not common at all.
