I have a trx90 with the TBolt 114 kit that comes with the VM26 carb and a CHP Honda exhaust. I am having a SLIGHT problem trying to get it jetted. I am running a 165 main 20 pilot and the top clip on the needle with the air screw .5 turns out.

The bottom end sounds good and so does the top but the mid seems to bog when u bump the throttle. If you slowly roll the throttle, it revs smoothly and sounds good. If you aggressively push the throttle to 3/4 or so, the bike bogs and will die if you dont let off. but if you back off for just a second it will catch up and sounds goods. I have moved the clip from the center position to the top thinking it was the mid and trying to clean it up, but it doesnt seem to affect the bogging throttle pop.

Any suggestions for what I can do to try and clean up the quick throttle pops?

I am going to try and link a vid of me reving for further explanation.

Im pretty sure we had a 15p and 150main when we had that setup, just saying, usually work with air/fuel screw and pilot, then figure out your main, then fine tune midrange with needle is how I do it. Sounds like a rich condition to me though

I will try that need setup or as close as I can get with the needles I have. you start on the center clip on the needle? and what needle did you use?

I ran the stock VM26 needle. Start in middle clip, then tune everything else, needle last

Ya it seems that no matter what I jet it still feels the same. Crisp on bottom and top and sloppy in a throttle pop...I've gone from 155/17.5 to 190/22.5 and seen little change and the bog remains...**** I'm about to say I'm licked

I would say, put the filter on it and ride it, see what it does with a load on it for tuning, free rev isnt the same.

I'm not retarded in thinking on the pilot screw that out is leaning and in is richening? I screw it out and it idles up

Seems to run decent with a load, but the minute it goes in the air on a jump it bogs...running 165/20/middle clip 1.25 turns out. Any more suggestions
