View Full Version : Do 400EXs and 300EXs use the same brakes?

Will 300EX front calipers work on a 400EX? I've heard the brake systems are the same on both machines.

what about the rear brakes? master cylinder everything????? I've got a 300 that won't hold brake pressure? any tips?? Thanks in advance.

Bringing this back from the dead. ANy word on rear brakes? Will 400ex calipers/master/lines work on a 300ex?

I found on the back caliper, they are the same. The mounting bracket is different, so the part #'s are different. The best i could tell the brackets will swap, but I never went the distance and tried it. It was for a friend and he ended up finding a used one on ebay.
