unfortunately i am forced to sell my lobo xc chassis to build a mx quad to ride with my son this year. i bought this chassis a little over a year ago, started buying parts for it to finish and that time never came. have all of the motor mounts and hardware for it that are not on it in the pictures. also for asking price i will throw in the 400ex spindles, the 250r brake adapters and brake lines..handle bars, hubs, radiator also not included. i believe the shocks are setup for 180 lb. no cracks or weld in frame.also have an xc axle and a lrd 300 non pv motor i might sell also if interested. sorry for the crappy cell phone pics, just hauled it into work and took some while it was here. can send better pics to anyone who is interested. asking 2500 obo..

I'm not as familiar with the different variations of Lobo frames, but what makes this an XC frame vs. MX? Could you just build this into an MX bike? The lobo frames were awesome MX setups.

Either way that is a great price on that chassis and will make sommeone a sick XC setup. Great seller too!

i thought about that..i was gonna try and find a set of lobo mx arms but wasnt sure if it would save me much cash in the long run.
the lobo frames are quite a bit narrower on the bottom of the frame..

The main differences are the a-arms are narrower and the upper rear shock mount hangs lower on the XC chassis than it does on the MX chassis. This gives the MX chassis a longer rear shock. If you can picture it it's almost like they flipped that upper rear shock mount tab upside down for the MX chassis. Of course the shock specifics would be different for each setup. Also the XC chassis usually would not come with front pro peg mounts.
IMO, wouldn't really be an issue to put MX a-arms on that chassis and have all the shocks set up for MX and run the hell out of it. Probably couldn't tell the difference.

Depending on the year, the rear shock mount was the same for xc and mx... I think it was 2000 and newer that they were the same. I've heard that Doug did that to make things simpler.
So depending on the shock length you have, the only real difference will be the lack of pro peg mounts and the more narrow a arms. Could save cash and just change the arms. It will hold up well.
You can even put the roll no link swingarm on a standard link chassis (stock) and run a no link shock. This is the shortest rear shock setup of the 3 and as long as the rear shock is built for it, that can even be used for mx.
Just a FYI

You are right about the xc rear shock mount being moved to the mx position in the later year lobo xc chassis...I believe it was on 2002 and later lobo xc chassis.

Most likely your cheapest bet and honestly the best option In my opinion is to get mx a arms for it. I think u can still get them from roll for 1300. Which is far less than it will cost to build another mx machine. And I highly doubt you will ever be able to tell that it's an xc. Pretty sure you will regret selling it later on to they don't pop up that often.

sorry for the delay guys... ended up getting my mower stuck in a retention pond yesterday afternoon and had to run to sons basesball game afterwards...
all this info is really making me want to keep my lobo but i already bought a arens frame 250r that needs a little tlc.. if only i would have thought about before i purchased it..i know i will regret it!!!
i have had a overwhelming response on the frame..i answered lots of pm's and think i have a few more to get to..i will get back to all of you today, i am at work but i will def. get to them..again i apologize.
the frame is pretty much sold to the first guy wh pm'd me. if for some reason it does not work out i will go to the next one in line.
thank you all for all the great info and help with everything. hopefully again in the near future i can use it again.

I really hope that this frame doesnt go to jerorski that rat is sucking up all these parts not selling them not racing them just hoarding them in his basement. If so i really hope he didnt give u the same sob story of he really needs this set up for his sons birthday.... jerry man that ****s getting old... who would recreate with you anyway.:macho
Keep these r parts in circulations for racers to be raced on!!! You know we all go threw tons of them.

I would possibly entertain a trade for my MX front end. Can you give me some ID measuremts of the upper arm mounts?
My upper arms have been rechromed, bottoms powdercoated, and fully rebuilt. So we would have to work out some details.
Let me know if this is of interest to you Shawn.
Thanks,
Dan

When you see the frame for sale in the for sale section for 1000 more then the guy paid for it from you dont be mad cause there is a lot of jerkoffs here who love nothing more then to make as much money as possible off there 250r brothers....Its sad.

I hope you keep that frame and work something out with Dan. It wont get much better than that setup. Those are the front arms that you want. And the rear shock length, you wont notice, trust me. Just make sure it is all set up for your weight and that will be the last R you need.
Sell the Aren's, keep the Roll.

if only i knew two days ago when i posted this what i do now, i would have taken dan up on his offer and built this thing to ride mx for time being. and have had many good cash offers and trades that i would have done. unfortunately as soon as i posted it i gave my word to first response and cant go back on it, just wouldnt be right. so yes the frame is sold and i am weeping as i am packing it up to ship out.
i really appreciate all of the good feedback and pm's i got from all of you..i will be looking for another this fall, i just gotta get out on the track as soon as i can! like a month ago..
thanks again!

I was going to buy some parts from jerorski, but after reading some posts on here about him, I don't know anymore? is he someone I should stay away from? any info would be helpful.. I don't mean to mess with anyone on here, but don't want to get ripped-off either!

Dont worry the guy who bought it will most likely have it repowdered and then relist it here for 1000+ more dollars then he bought it for...So you will have another chance to buy it dont worry!
