my bike is completely stock. i dont need to rejet it just to put a uni air filter on it do i?

I don't believe you need to.. Will be be leaving the lid on the air box?

no you do not. my buddy just put a K&N on his 450r, and its fine.

yes leaving lid on Yeah you should be good altho some people run a 42 pilot even on a stock 400ex.. They run better with it.. The 400ex is very lean from the factory.

You can bump up the main one just for good measure, but you realy don't need to for just a filter.

The first thing I did to my stock ex was throw a uni filter on it. After 15 min of riding my motor was so hot it was smoking..... I pulled the header and removed the welds then rejetted. Now Iam running a a 155 with the uni, welds removed and stock motor. I have the stock pipe on too.
