atv racing question(s)

i've been getting confused on a few things.. if im 13 and want to race a 250cc atv, can i ? it might be a dumb question but the reason it confuses me is because a 250cc atv says ''dont ride if you are under 16'' so if it says that, why would they let race it if your not 16 or older...?

im 14 and race my 400ex. ive got buddies that are 15 running 450s. ive got a buddy thats 13 and races a raptor 250. so yes. the dont ride under 16 is just a "suggestion"

It's actually a little more than a suggestion. Anyone under 16 is supposed to be on an ATV under 90cc. Very few PPl obey it tho. But as far as racing goes of it's local outlaw races you will never have a problem.
