I already have a 2002 400ex swingarm witha +2durublue axle and billet carrier and i really would like to use it for something. The swingarm is laying in my garage.I want to put it in my 300ex with 400ex motor and 400 a-arms with works tripple rate w/ rezzies. Also what rear shock would i have to use. KEEP IN MIND,I ALREADY HAVE ALL THESE ITEMS:D

It would be a WHOLE LOT easier, cheaper, less painful, cleaner, etc. to put all your 400EX items you're asking about in a 400EX chassis - instead of trying to retrofit them onto a 300EX & you'll likely be MUCH happier with the end result and end up with two quads instead of one and a bunch of extra parts you can't use.

400EX chassis's are cheap. $400 new from Honda, relatively cheaper used.

I looked into this a while back for a guy. I believe both swingarms are 13" wide, so I believe it can work. The real part is hooking up the linkage, but if you are only going to drap race, you could not use the linkage, and shock, but rather replace them with a straight piece of round or square tubing.

Make sure your sprockets line up. Thats the most important thing.

you know that does seem like a cool project you have going. how many other people do you see with a 300ex and 400ex in 1 quad. i say go for it and hope it works out. anything can be done if you have the right tools to do it.

Im not sure if it will work, but after you put it on, measure how long of a shock you will need from the linkage to the shock mount. Then find a shock for another model that is the right length then get it revavled/worked. Just a thought.
