Just rebuilt my 05 to a 416 and was on my first ride today. I warned te bike, took it for a lap around the neighborhood, then let it cool. Awhile later I did it again and let it cool. Then I took it out in the trails and was riding for a half hour or so being easy on it but varying rpms. I then sat for about 20 mins and the wheeler had ran fine until then. After I started doing half throttle 1st-5th-1st runs and after a few I noticed the rpms weren't dropping when I let off the throttle and if I put the bike in neutral it would rev up a bit for a few seconds then slowly drop back down to idle. Not sure what's causing this or how to fix it. I'm no pro-mechanic so give me the dumbed down version please.

Did you rejet it, sounds like it could be running real lean. Motors tend to rev up when they are lean.

if it ran good for a while then started doing it... u have a air leak make sure the carb boots are all tight. if its done it since you rebuilt it then the piliot jet could be to lean causeing a hanging rev

If you didn't rejet, you will have to rebuild if you keep running it.

Check the throttle cable at the bars. Also check the idle adjustment.
