400ex plastic on a 300ex?

dude, everyone wants there 300 to run like a 400, look like a 400...............so just go buy a 400! U can get one out the door anymore for like.....$4600!

Hey maggot , i am in the process of converting my 300 into a 400 that is why it says 400 in a 300.The reason i am doing this is because i already have 3 quads,1 BEING A 416ex thats why i dont want another 400.I already have a 2002 400 motor with jet kit ,k&n and pipe. JUST TRYing FIGURE OUT HOW TO MAKE IT ALL WORK. I WANT A FAST 300ex it will be my sleeper.I am not telling all my local friends so they will be surprised.

Let me get this straight!! You are going to install a 400ex motor in your 300ex quad to make a sleeper, RIGHT?? Then why would you want to put 400ex plastic on it?? This wouldn't be no sleeper only a cobbled up 400 that wouldn't handle very good. This doesn't sound like a sleeper combination to me. This sounds like a conversation peice for all your freinds to laugh at. Just my .02.

Well,since i already have 3 other 4 wheelers and I am bored with this little 1993 300ex motor,I am going to totaly rebuild it which i have already started to do.The frame is has gussets already and is ready fo 400ex motor mounts.It has brand new 400ex a-arms and i already ordered works shocks w/rezzies ,renthals,.190 itp with razors and attempting to put a 400ex motor with jet.pipe and k&n. Also will powdercoat frame mirror chrome red with 2002 yellow plastics race cut. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THAT
and I AM PRETTY SURE I CAN PUT THE 400EX SWINGARM ON THERE WITH THE DURUBLE +2 AXLE AND BILLET CARRIER.

BRUCE,i guess your right about the plastics but what about the 400 motor they wont see that comin

how wont they see it comin. it will only have a duel exhaust and oil cooler unlike the 300.

ok boys stop tha arguing, lol, dude if he wants to do it let him, i would just leave the 300 plastic on it and race cut it or somthin so it wont be so obvious that it has tha 400 motor in it. but it would be kinda obvious for a person who knows somthin about quads, lol, i mean ive never seen a 300 out of all 3 ive owned with a motor buldging out of tha frame lol, and two exaust ports, i guess u could tell um its a 350x motor? but there are some very stupid quad owners out there, this one guy had a stock 400 & he asked me the other day if mine was tha new honda quad?!?!?!:confused:yea he thought it was tha sweetest thing hes ever seen, i finlly told him it was a 300, lol it was gr8! naw it would be pretty cool for a project, POST PIX MAN!!!!!!

is it hard to mount maier race plastic from a 400ex on a 300ex? the way i see it, if i was to sell my quad i would never get the amount of money i got into it, so im keeping my 300ex, except im not making it a sleeper, i got a 350x motor. but yeah, will the 400ex maier race cut plastics, front and back work on a 300ex? making brakets are no problem either.
