Just curious.......This may have been asked before but I think its a neat topic. Where did you/kid/family come up with their racing number?
Example. My son is #20. He picked it because of his favorite hockey player Ryan Suter of the Nashville Predators. Who would have have thought that! Whats your story!

My oldest son picked #3 for his younger brother who was 3 years old at the time.
When my youngest son started racing, he picked #16 after his favorite rider, Johnny Hale. He uses #16 in soccer too.

My son Adam used to run the number 577 . Because 57 was my brothers mx number on dirt bikes and he passed away 11 years ago. And 77 was my college football number so we combined the 2. But we bought a flat track quad with really cool graphics that had the number 11. So that is what he runs now. I let it be his choice and he likes the 11 .

Jordan is 18 because it was my highschool football number. Brady said he wanted the number that came before his brother and I said well thats 17...he said ok thats it. He was 4 at the time.

We run 523 because it's Noah's birthday, May 23rd.
Wow, I didn't know Connor was a hockey fan. I have a spare room dedicated to the Philadelphia Flyers. I think it will soon changed to a trophy room, though. His room is just about full.

Back when we started at our local track when he was 4 years old they said we had to use the last 2 or 3 numbers of your membership number, we knew no better then, none the less 404 is what it has been since.

We chose #22. Not real creative, just easy to find shirts that say Reed 22. :D

We also chose ours using the last three numbers on our AMA card just to not have to ever have to change them.... 336 and 766

when we first started mx JJ picked 18 for his birthday the next year we raced XC all peewee had to have a 9 as the 1st number so he became 918, this was so the you could tell who was in ur class and who was not, the next age group had to have 8s and next 7s, being they were all racing the course at the same time!

Jordan # was 8 because he loved Dale Jr in nascar. So when we went to nationals we had to have a 2 digit number so he went to 88. What is cool about that is Dale Jr since has changed his number to 88 in nascar. We told Jordan the reason Dale Jr changed his number to 88 that he wanted to be a national champ like he was. LOL

I guess I'm with Rocky, I gave the kid no choice when he started, just stuck the decals on and there ya go. My old number 65, so I can live my glory days through him. So after plastering everything with this number Jerseys, trailor, banners, etc he tells me he wants to change his number to 76? So his dirtbike is 76 and his quad stayed 65. He really confuses the scorers when he races the bike 76 with his his chest protector 65. So why he chose 76? Who knows, he is just simple.

Lots of people know but Joel runs 88 in memory of Matt.
Joel used to run 13 because Natalie was his favorite and JR Hinds also ran it.

Old school when i was racing the first number I had when I got back on a quad in 94 was 4x the reason I wanted to run another number I cant even remember which one but it was taken.
Anyway the hottest girl at the track(next to the wife of course) said why dont you run 4x sweetie,no questions asked lol that was my new number
