OK my friend has a blaster with a fmf pipe and silencer. fmf makes a shorty series for motorcycles only. Does the shorty just give more bottom end? will cutting like 5 in off his silencer give him more bottom end? I know that it does on a 4-stroke but i dont know too much about 2-stroke exuast? I know this is a honda forum but im just tryin to help him out lol.

Yes, the same holds true for 2 strokes (shorter silencer more bottom) Most of the supercross riders run shortys for the extra oomph down low then when the nationals roll around they switch to the longer versions for the added top for the wide open tracks.
Another option is to run exhaust spacers for a little more bottom!
