Just bought new cam guides and tensioners and chain for the 400 from motosport. I have a wiseco 440 12.5:1 bbk, any recommendations for a gasket kit? Rockymountain has a big bore kit gasket kit but it is out of stock until about July 2. Do I need a big bore kit gasket kit or will a standard gasket kit work still? Suggestions? I have a spare complete motor im gonna be putting in the quad for now until I can get this one rebuilt. It has sat for over 2 years before I had gotten it recently but I hooked it up outside the frame tonight and it started right up thank god haha. :D

You deffinately need a gasket kit for an 89mm piston. I'd get an MLS type cometic kit on ebay. Here is a link to the kit I would get: http://www.ebay.com/itm/HONDA-TRX400EX-89MM-TOP-END-GASKET-KIT-COMETIC-400EX-/170602227610?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27b8af679a&vxp=mtr

GT Thunder sells a heavy duty head gasket for an 89mm bore(440). I think its around fifty bucks though if I remember right.

Ok, all I will need is a top end gasket kit when replacing the cam chain? The only time I had the motor open was when i rebuilt it and the bore kit came with the gaskets and everything. I haven't looked through the book yet but I'm thinking the left case needs to come off from what i remember as well. Ill need gasket for that too right or does the top end kit come with that?

Yes, you're right, you will need to take the clutch cover off aswell to access the bottom timing chain guide bolt. So you will need to order a clutch cover gasket, OEM will do fine on those.
