honestly in just gncc i dont think your gonna benefit from long travel your not catching air and jumping thats that the long travel is designed to soak up hard landings at high speed.

they make Plus 2 arms i have a set but they are standard travel.

also long travel arms takes long travel shocks 19" shocks just for your info (these are generally above 1000$ for a set in great condition)

if you knew this info sorry to repeat, jsut trying to help.

and also when buying roll design stuff realize everything to make them rebuilt is pricey. ball joints and bushings are not the same as others they are all special. see the roll design post i put up a week about about the arms.

Roll design makes there arms in+ 1.5" and+ 2.5". They do this because they make their a arms designed to run 400ex spindles. Depending on where you are located you may be able to get away with the + 3s in the woods. They are probably a little more common..

I SEE A LOT GUYS RUNNING LONG TRAVEL IN THE WOODS.WHY IS THAT ? I JUST WANT A NICE FRONT END. I HAVE AXIS WITH LONE STAR ARMS PLUS 2 WITH 3+2 WHEEL AN IM AT 46 INCHES WIDE. SO YOUR SAYING I WILL NOT BENEFIT FROM LONG TRAVEL. I READ A THREAD ON HERE BY MEAT HE HAD PLUS 3 AN WITH A 4+1 WHEEL AN HE STILL WAS AT 50 INCHS. WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD FRONT END TO RUN. REALLY WANT PLUS 2 LONG TRAVEL PREFERABLY ROLL. I KNOW THERE HIGH TO REBUILD BUT, THERE THE BEST ARMS OUT THERE. WHAT WOULD U RUN?

if i was gonna race XC,

these would be on my list

Roll,
Walsh
Gibson gull wing
Jrd

im not saying you wont benefit from Long travel, but is it enough of a difference for a woods rider for the money i dont know.

suspension is where races are won and lost thats forsure if moneys no object go pro trax long travel with some PB1's or Float evol's or something.

I'm looking for +2 LT arms because it is getting harder to find top shelf ST shocks used. It is even harder to find the +2 LT arms lol.

IF I RUN PLUS 3 ARMS WITH 4+1 WHEELS DOES ANYBODY KNOW HOW WIDE THAT WOULD PUT ME?

With my Roll MX width arms and 4:1 Hiper wheels I was around 48-3/4-ish.

mine also, ~49". How you set your suspension is a huge factor on width and if shocks are done for YOUR weight. Many pro's had to go through check point again, because their mechanics rode the bikes and it wouldn't go through the narrow box, but when the rider him(her)self did, it slid right through. 20-30 extra pounds can make enough different to make it 51-53" instead of 49-50"

Check that topic out. 400ex arms will work on the 250R, just would need to use shims/spacers for where the arms mount to the frame. No big deal and easy enough to do. Price does not seem too bad and you can get them for less

get a set of 400ex plus 2 a arms and just have someone lower the mount. i just did it for ice racing but i kept the standard shocks. i could easily put 18.5 or 19 on there now. mostlikely 18.5 cuz the ball joints wount have enough travel

Why would you lower the mount?
