If anyone has the db level of a TC shorty with stock header it'd be appreciated.

It is a tad loud, but i compared a 300ex with an HMF slip on to a few maniacs on 400exs with the TC shortys... (VERY popular pipe here) You could hear the rumble through the mess!

Not the kind of loud that makes me say "that was a loud quad!"

Think my next pipe will be a sparks!

Am a bit curious on DB level so i can brag about it :D

+1. I ran one on my old 400ex. By far the loudest exhaust I have ever heard on a 400ex.

On the 400 I own now I made my HMF slip-on a shorty. Waiting for some parts so I can ride it, but when I fired it up for a sec after I chopped it down it sounded close to what the TC shorty sounded like at an idle. Now WOT I'm not sure yet. Waiting for my throttle cable to come in and then we shall see

I was gonna get some sweet rebel flag shock covers, but they disappeared off ebay when I was gonna go buy em, so I settle for some canadian flag ones, the next week they were back on... Haha oh well! These ones are still sweet.
