I just installed a new caliper on my 400ex and I've been trying to bleed the brakes(the old fashion way) I have a friend pump the brakes about 20x then i open the bleeder and then close it as he is still holding down. I did this about 12x. I haven't seen any results. What should I be doing that I'm not?

You need a vacuum brake bleeder, trust me there is no way to get it good with the 2 man pump and bleed method. Mostly b/c the master is WAY to small to push enough fluid.

Make sure the fluid is full before you start. Open the bleeder, squeeze the handle and hold, close the bleeder-do this several times to get the bulk of the air out then bleed as normal. Sometimes its hard to get fluid out but keep at it. You usually shouldn't have to pump it 20 times, 2 or 3 full pulls on the lever should be enough. good luck and lets us know how you make out !

I agree with CJM. I bought a mityvac and it worked great.

I appreciate the responses, thanks... I'm probably going to order this kit most likely because it seems pretty cheap and has one good review and no bad ones haha
