old ex plastic to the new 08 - 09 ex plastic

Hey,
I have a 2003 Honda 400ex and was hoping to put some 08 - 09 4ooex plastic on it. Everyone and thier dog has talked about conversion kits and what not but they are not on ebay anymore. I know other guys have put the 05 - 06 ex plastic on their older honda's with minimal issues other than making a couple new brakets. Has anyone put the new 09 plastic on thier old 400 ex?

you need a 08+ tank i do believe because they are slimmer like the 450s

yeah its as far as i know
