Most people say YFZ for MX and TRX for trail, I ride only trail, havn't even been to an mx track before and I love my yfzs, i'd say theyre the best but I havn't tried the 450s to compare. Go for the best deal IMO.

Get some +2 or +3 arms to match that axle, and then 450r shocks. If your just going to run stock arms, then yfz shocks.

in stock form, yfz shocks are better than trx shocks for any application, be it MX, XC, TT, the trx450 shocks in stock form are garbage.

I dont think you can rebuild YFZ fronts to the caliber of 450r rebuilds. If you plan on having them rebuilt take that into consideration.

I was looking around on ebay for 450 shocks and found these:

Any input?

I had 450r shocks that werent revalved or anything on my stock a-arms for awhile....I wasnt that impressed.

If I had to buy upgraded shocks again, I would buy the YFZ shocks.

If your goin to use them stock then yea, but for around $600 you can make 450R fronts work as good or better than, Elka and other brands like that.

YFZ shocks in stock form dont get much better even with a revalve/respring.
