Hood Dilemma..

Hey Guys i recently put some new white OEM plastic on my 05' 450r with a fourwerx flat CF hood..and although the finish is excellent im just not to sure i like the look of the hood on the bike. Im thinking maybe a white quadtech hood with the scoop. I just dont know if i want to have the old holes from this hood visible if i have to drill new bottom ones for the QT hood. Could anyone photoshop a White quadtech hood onto my bike in the pic below? Thanks guys!

i got the plastic from the Honda Dealer since ServiceHonda had good prices, but couldn't quote me a shipping price under $70. I think i am gonna order a white quadtech..

atleast get a black quadtech,white is gonna be to much white imo but its your quad im sure everyone will still think its sick weather it has a hood or not lol

A white Quadtech will look good, as long as you have some sort of graphics to tie it in.

not to hijack this dudes topic. but to answer your question, i just ordered 07 white kicker rears from motosport. it had the kicker insert already in it. i will post a pic if i can.


or just shoot me an email and i will send it to you. mine is an 05 with 07 plastics

Im trying my hand at Photoshop to see what it will look like (going slowly) lol. And yes for the plastic you can get it at the dealer just tell them you want white plastic off an 07'. You can also go to servicehonda.com or motosport like the guy above said.

If I get a quadtech it's going to be white. I'm just debating between keeping the FWC hood I have or getting a white QT.

I like the white QT hood man.. What kind of graphics are you going with? After you put a number plate and stuff on it it will look really sharp.. IMO of course..

Did you get alot of time in on your Flow Infinite this winter? I love mine, got out on it about 25-30 days last winter. :)

Hey Chronic, actually i never ended up buy one! :rolleyes: i may this year though, but who knows. Up here is OH we have a VERY mild winter this year with very few days of snow.


Im not sure i would want to fun any graphics i kind of like the clean factory look.

Well I like the white hood, I want to go all white with some purple next year. the black hood looks good too, but you don't see many white on white combos.

You should have jumped on that deal! 200$ for the Infinite was pretty cheap.. Hybrid Rocker boards are where it's at btw, buttering is effortless compared to my old camber.. woops, wrong forum.. lol.:p

May be different than FWC but my Maier and QT hoods use the same mounting points..

im only concerned about the bottom two holes i drilled in the new white plastic. On the FW hood the upper two mounting points use the stock holes so i didnt drill any for the top mounting.

lol I should have specified.. The two bottom mounts are the same, and the two that mount by the gas tank were different. The maier used the stock mounts and the QT requires new holes to be drilled..

Haha nice!

It may be close to lining up. Haven't ran a FWC hood before. If you have graphics they will cover them up and people will be none-the-wiser.

Should look sick!

yeah i saw that..the original hole looks pretty far up though from the maier hood. We will see when my hood gets here next week. Im thinking it will be very very close because mine looks roughly where your new hole is.

hood came today and i put it on..only complaint i have is QT making the White slightly different than the OEM Honda White..but oh well. Pics...

actually what i did was put the QT hood on and the holes were off slightly on the bottom so i just made two new holes in the hood right where they lined up with the fenders. Worked prefect.
