04 trx's

I just looked at a 04 450 honda today thats in great shape.

Is their any concerns with the 04's? I know 05's had bad crank bearings. This one has not been apart other then a JE piston & sparks cam.

They are great bikes, had mine for about 5 years and it's still running like a champion. The tranny went out a few months ago so it finally got a fresh rebuild. I wouldn't trade my 04' for anything, its my baby lol.

04's and 05's had the bad crank bearing issues.... but i wouldent worry about it untill they go out or show signs mine was a 05 with 200+ hrs and still doing fine when i changed it.

Can somone give me an idea what my jetting should be at? Im at 300-500ft above sealevel, its got motoworks full exhaust,curtis sparks mx cam, je 12:1 piston, stock filter & airbox without lid.
It pops when I let off gas & requires a tap of the trottle when trying to start it up while kicking it over, also it will idle once in awhile, meaning it wont idle by itself somtimes. I tried messing with the idle and it really didn't help. So poilet jet to small?
