snorkel removal?

just heard it mentioned, can someone give me a little more info on it? i mean i guess it seems kind of self expanatory but is it recvomended? i ride xc? is there any other little mods like this i could do?

Snorkel removal is easy, under the tank theres a plastic clip, you take that off and the snorkel should slide right out. You may have to take the airbox off to do it easily or use silicone spray.

Just removing the snorkel wont do anything to upgrade performance, if you remove the whole airbox, you can leave the snorkel for filter support and gain a lil performance.

But if your gonna XC in wet conditions, you might wanna leave the snorkel and airbox but remove the lid if you havent already. I always raced XC and MX even in wet conditions with no airbox without any issues, but its not reccomended.

Put a spraypaint can lid in place of the tube and run either an open airbox or an outerwears lid.
