Any pros or cons for doing this, its 10 bucks cheaper and raises comp. my main question will it change cam timing thanks.

nope, wont change timing, it doesnt raise the compression much, wont be noticable by seat of the pants but if you gotta put one on anyway then why not

I did that and a crf cam in mine which basically made my motor very similar to that of the CRF motor. I can tell a difference with the 2 combined

Did you have to use a certain year of the crf head gasket for your 05?
I know this is a old thread :(

To be honest I dont remember. Mines an 08 though not the 05. I don't know if it works the same on the 05.
