Sprocket Sizes For 400ex

RIGHT NOW IM RUNNING 18X11X8 TURF TAMMERS WITH A 16 TOOTH FRONT AND 40 REAR .I JUST BOUGHT KENDA KLAWS 22X11X8 MY GEARING NEEDS CHANGED OVIOUSLY FIRST GEAR BOGGES DOWN BAD .RIGHT NOW I GOT 18IN FRONT TIRES TO I WANT TO PUT 22IN TIRES UP FRONT FOR GROUND CLEARANCE.WHAT SHOULD I GOTO

Drop to a 14t front. Still will prob need to change the rear also, but just by droppin 2 of the front will make a big difference. Why are you running tires so big?

I ran 13/39 with 22in mud tires an there was alot of power to spin the tires and good topend speed.

I do have a 440 with valves and bigger carb, so your results may be different.

If you have a 40t rear sproket, the 14t that thumppin suggested will be fine if not almost the same as my suggestion.

I don't know what year your quad is, but on my 2000, I ran 15/36 with 18's, 14/36 with 20's, and when I built it to a 426, I switched back to 15/36 with 20's.
