400ex issues

i have an 03 400ex stock except for the pipe, it has been spitting out white smoke when i pin it then let off the gas, its been burning oil to, looks to be the head gasket, it runs great besides this issue. could it be more than just the head gasket??

It might need a ring job. Sound like blow by the rings.

is that expensive if a shop does it? i never ripped it appart b4 but ive been half way temped im not very mechanically inclined

Rates at the Honda shop I work at are $75 an hour now. Adds up quick. Top end work is easy, get a manual and try it yourself, you'll be glad you did

Lots of times when its smokes after you rev and let off gas it could be oil seeping up between cylinder and the sleeve inside. Sounds like to me its gonna need a new cylinder

sounds like my best bet is to tear it apart and look at all these things it could be. ill have to get a manual first
