What would be the difference in a 300ex with stock a-arms,front wheel spacers with dual rate works shocks or a 300ex with 400ex a-arms,tie rods, shocks and a 300ex to 400ex shock bracket? Which would be a better set up and soak up more when you jump? What would you do? I am trying to keep the price at the $300.00 mark so getting +2 a-arms for the 300ex is out of the question.

Id say go with the 400 ex front end. I have an R front end I'll sell you pretty cheep. Id like 100 O.B.O. and i'll pay shipping. you can tehn use the arms and your stock 300 shocks untill you have a set of 400 or 250r shocks to use and a mounting bracket. Wider is always better.

First you are looking for the setup that will be better for jumping... I wouldn't even say wheel spacers and jumping in the same sentence... Instead of all the hassel, just buy some works and get a pair of extended arms.. I'm sure someone out there makes them for the 300..... Why butcher up your quad trying to get 400 stuff to fit on your 300...

Just my opinion...

i got custom works and 400ex a-arms to go with eachother, so no upper braket was needed, better than both of those choices

Did you try WORKS or HELM for the bushings. Wait till you get them on your quad, its gonna be sweet compared to stock.

I ordered my piggyback triples today.$$$

I would go with 300exrider02. I bought some works shocks and they are excellent shocks, but i wish i had a wider front end.

I can sell you a set of stock shocks and the bracket for $150.

I don't have any a-arms but they are always available on ebay or this forum.

I just put 87 250R a-arms with Works shocks and it feels way better than stock. I haven't had too much time on it yet but it came out awesome. I highly recommend this setup for the 300ex. Ride red forever!

Rebelman, when you say it rides light in the front end do you mean it sits a little high in front? I just put 250R arms with Works on mine and it seems to sit just a little higher than before and I just wondered if this was normal. Do you have any pics of yours?
