I have my 450r carb on the 3rd notch on the needle and was wondering if i put it on the 4th notch will i see a better increase in acceleration or top end speed? I see a better throttle response with the carb but nothing else i dont know if it is just me?

If it doesnt stumble out in mid rpm on the 4th notch, then its working better then it was on the third.

Actually, lowering the clip will make the midrange jetting richer.

It wont effect your topend speed, you may or may not notice any difference at all, it may be overly rich and stumble or stutter.

Atleast you'll know wether the 3rd notch or the 4th was better.

What mods other then your 450r carb do you have and what size jets are in it?

I can help you go faster if you want... .

I have curtis sparks x6 exhaust system, 11:1 wiseco piston standard bore, stage 2 hotcam, 450r carb with 175 main and 52 piolot and uni filter wo lid. I thought the carb would make a slightly noticeable difference with these mods

For my 440 the difference was night and day, I have oversize valves and a big piston with a stage 2 cam.

The 450r carb really compliments all the intake and exhaust flow requirements for my motor.

I use a 50 pilot with a 220 main jet, your 175 should be ok for your mods as long as your fully revving out with no issues.

How many turns out on the a/f screw are you?

Everything carb wise sounds good enough"on paper anyway".

You could try to jett it slightly differently and see if you notice any power/speed difference, like I said before it may not be noticeable on the seat but it will be there.

When I got my stage 2 cam I was like "its no different wtf" then when I raced my friends YFZ it was obvious it was much better but I couldnt tell when I was riding it.

Depending on what jetting method you used, you could do it another way and see if its any different.

Its actually really easy to do and theres no plug chopping, its also the reccomended method by racers and jetsrus. "if you wanna go that route"

U think a 416 bb kit with oversize valves wud be a runner with my mods already with a 14 tooth and or 36, 37 in back that's wat I'm planning to do soon?

Yes a 416 with a valve job will be a very strong motor, 440's and 450r's will have some good competition against that 416.

I recommend when you get ready to do it, have the extra money for a good port job, thats the only mod my motor doesnt have along with a stroker crank.

I can only imagine what I could do with some good port work, I kick myself everytime I ride it because thats the one thing I didnt do.
