Our crew just got our RAC permits and are ready to go possibly this weekend... and definitely June 9 as well.

Never been, this will be our first time.

Check out youtube, type in Trevorton, Pa Whale back and check out the vidoes posted by user named "offroadtrevorton" he does a nice job of showing people around.

Like I said we will be at Cabela's by 9 leaving there no later then 9:30 if you want to follow us. I take acouple of short cuts the gps didnt pick up that shaves about 15 minutes off each way.

Wow what a great trip. Weather was perfect for riding and because it rained hard Friday night the dust was at a minimum. The coal hills were washed out but that's a trade off I will take every time I go there ;)

End of the day a rider came up to me for directions...and I was actually able to help him :eek2:

I have to make one of these trips with you. Haven't been there in 2 years. Last time there we never left the coal hills. I'll keep an eye out for your next trip.

np that's what these forums are for Punk Rock Keil did the same for me and next season you will probably do the same for someone new to the area.

yea it's looking like it's on for Sat 6/23/12. Same bat time (9am) same bat channel (cabela's).

I have a group going up on Sat 6/23/12. If not go to google maps and type in rte 2044 & Anthracite Rd Trevorton, PA. If you scroll south about 1/2 mile of that intersection you will see the parking lot on the east sdie of the road. The coal hills are west of the hwy. The good trails are all East of the highway.

Went out to Shamokin area with JAYSKEE last weekend, good time. He showed us around all day.

OldGuyonaQuad is the expert trail guide up there. Hopefully we can all make it on the same weekend. I've only been up there twice so im a newb up there.

Yea I feel ya buddy, it is a haul...maybe we will take the motorhome and make it a weekend. You guys are always welcome or you can pitch a tent ifyou like. I know you usually work Saturdays but even heading up and camping out Saturday night can be fun then the ride home Sunday isnt so bad.

G/L with the 450 I had a hard enough time keeping up with your 400.

I will keep an eye on the weather reports and hopefully we get some heavy rain up there during the week to pack down the coal dust and bring down the mercury.

Ha no expert here I just know my way to the whaleback now. Punk Rock Keil is the real Trevorton expert, he and his friends showed me around and his one friend is the son of Lord Trevoroton from youtube. You can also check out videos on youtube posted by a user named "Trevrotonoffroad" I learned my way around by watching his videos with some trial and error.

Lonnie I hope you can make it, I enjoy riding with you and Marc.

heheh years of experience riding-trying to keep up with my buddy Julio made me fast. He nearly bested me on a mostly stock EX 2 weeks ago lol

Anyways, dunno if Ill make it to the sept trip. Might wait till oct when I know it wont be hot as heck out there.
