Just got back from the machine shop, they want $300 to bore/hone my cylinder/sleeve for my 426 kit. Good lord if GTT can do it for $125 why is their quote more than double that! Not what I wanted to hear but I guess if I want a chance at it being ready for this weekend I'll have to suck it up and pay it. Wifes not happy about it though. Just ranting... Thanks for listening!

Normally I would. My in-laws are in town until the 6th and I took the bike in hoping it would be finished before they got here. They've been here for a week now and are leaving next Wednesday. I'd really like to be able to go out with my son and my father in law before they return to California so if I want it done before then I guess that's how it's got to be ;/

If you call laz and tell him your prob tmr, he could probably get it in, done and sent back by like saturday if you do exp shipping and it would still cost less than that.

My local shop does it for about $30 and then another $30 for labor and machine costs. About $60 total. How in the hell do they get $300? I'd tell them they are insane and you're taking you're business elsewhere and see if they come down. I doubt it will be less than $125 though. Send it express to GT Thunder, Laz will get it done fast if you ask him, I'm almost certain.
