Here's mine, it's a work in progress but it's gettin there! Trying for a retro "250r" look.

Since this picture I added a new heat guard, cleaned up the header, restored the seat cover a bit and polished the side casings.

Nice looking quad man. I really like what you done with it so far. I just don't get how people like those bars tho I can't stand them, I need the oversized pro tapers but hey to each their own. Looks awesome tho man

thanks man! I got these because i've ran over my foot to many times from people rear ending me racing so i got these i love them though! your foot does'nt slide with the pegs on them thats for sure but they sure do tear up your boots! lol

Hey, how do you like those rims? I was thinking about grabbing some myself but want to hear opinions from people who actually own them first. Any complaints at all?

none whatsoever! I absoultely love them! I have cf3's on the front and back not one problem with them they're a little pricey i paid almost 1500 for mine new because of the offsets i bought but I highly recommend them!

Damn Rohr, your 400 looks good. just needs some nerfs with heel guards and a seat cover and it would look sick.

Thanks! I'm workin on the seat cover right now, also just ordered the PRM air scoops. I kept busting my heal guards out so that's why I stopped using them. Idk why but I rely on them too much.

yup im running a elka stage 4 on the rear also i love it! have yet to come across a shock to out perform it. Thanks for the compliment too i appreciate it! yours looks sweet too!

I'll have an update of mine tomorrow. Added some new decals and I am putting my PRM shrouds on. Only question is my graphics, I sorta wanna take off the side panel graphics, the red white, blue and gold ones. I like them but they don't fit right so I'm kinda iffy on them. :ermm:

That's one of the most extreme make overs that I've seen on this site. It looks good. Have you ever set the preload on that rear shock? It look like it's riding a little high to me.

No I haven't messed with it yet gonna get a stage four Elka rear shock with gt thunder rear linkage that'll lower the rear end two inches.

You could still set the rear ride height in about 20 minutes if you got a friend to help you take measurements while your on standing on the pegs. It makes a huge difference in how it rides. All you have to do is measure the distance between the frame and the ground right under the pegs while you are standing on them. You want to get the number right around 7-7 1/4" If it's too high then back the preload nuts off on the top of the shock until it's right.

Lol that's the same quad?! :P giving you a hard time, it's amazing when you look at the way they started on the showroom and what they turn into over time. Quads seem to get better with age sometimes, like 250r's.

As far as putting money into the 400ex, I gotta say it's really not crazy. I may buy a 2012 400x this fall and swap all my suspension out to the new one. Considering the frame is cracked and the motor is a little worn it'd be worth it. Sure I could buy a 450, but I love my setup, I love the motor, and I love the handling. I'm so comfortable with this quad why change? I've had a Trx450r, Yfz450 and a Banshee in the last year so finding something I can really gel with is worth giving up 50cc's and the latest technology.
