Can you people tell me the pros and cons on the raptors, and what year raptors are good to get and why.

CONS:
its a yamaha. its "top heavy". doesnt handle good.

raptors are good for trail just dont get a 01 raptor everyhting breaks on them so when someone says there aleeing a 01 ask if the tranny been replaced along with the axle top-a-arms and a new swingarm if you buy a 01 now 02's dont have a alot of trobule but they will never handle as good as a honda 250r thats why i got a 250r:devil

Pro's- good handling, awesome power, awesome looking

Con's- a little top heavy but not so much that it bothered me, and I didnt like the handlebars on it (the bend)

The one I rode was a 2001 and I had the best time on it, I never worried about handling, it was just so fun punching the throttle and having to actually hang on for once, that I didnt really worry to much about the turns except to get outta them so I could punch the throttle again.

I have rode one numerous times and the things I liked was the power/speed of them and overall looks, but what really annoyed me was how tall and narrow they were...if I bought one arms/axle/shocks would be first on the mod list.

Awsome powere. nothing faster stock, atleast nothing that I have raced. sweet looks, The suspension is nice but can be too soft for big jumps. if your 200 + and over 6ft you will love the dimensions of the bike, except I would get a longer axel first and then go with a yoshi full system to really open up the power on that thing. Awsome bike overall if your a big guy or medium guy, small guys don't belong on it.
