When you put an aftermarket header pipe like the fmf powerbomb on, does the noise level really go down?

Due to the design of the pipe putting on an aftermarket header will gain you little power and its honestly not worth it.

I did not notice a decrease in decibel level with the FMF powerbomb. I really think it made it louder. Which, would not be surprising because I went from a stock header to the FMF (and no air lid). So, the flow had to have increased. Then, I removed the FMF and ground my header welds down and then put the OEM header back on. I was not sold on the FMF powerbomb. It definitely flowed more than an unmodified OEM header, but I was not modified enough to really reap the benefit. (IE, I had stock internals.)
