seat latch ?

I traded my factory 04 yellow rear fenders for a set of black rear fenders the guy said they were factory honda but the seat latch from the 04 is much smaller so my question is are the black set factory and if so are the 05 up seat latch larger any help would be great thanks

easy way to tell if your new plastic is factory is, does it have the big cross support bar under the rear fenders?

No aftermarket that i am aware of has that.

Yep it has the cross support brace but the seat latch brackets for the 04 are not wide enough hole to hole

Got a picture of the seat and fenders? I'm positive the seat, rear fenders and mounting points never changed on the 400 until '08+.
