What tires to go for... i'm tied between a few cheapys...

1) STI tech (6 ply) ; like a razr cross

http://www.unitedparts.us/images/P/Tech-4-XC.jpg

2) CST Ambush (4 ply); like a maxxis razr... sort of.. but unique

http://www.pureoffroad.com/assets/images/shared/por/cheng_shin/ambush.jpg

3)GBC X Rex (6 ply); like razrs

http://www.traxms.com/images/GBC_X-Rex_383.jpg

4) An odd combo of tires.. (ex; cst ambush rear, GBC X Rex fronts)
(List)

If you dont mind a MIX N Match then you should get the Ambush rears and Xrex fronts.

Or all around xrex.

ITP Holeshots all the way around. You cant go wrong.

Holeshots... :huh ehh lol

I'm not a fan of them...

wear fast, don't hook up good... the reviews from buddies made my mind.

I'm voting for the Xrex's all around, just because I have the Razr 2s and love them to death. Tons of grip and wear very slowly even when you ride on a lot of pavement.

Well, i just love the X-rexs to, but the rears only come in 20x11x9.

With my extended axle/a-arm setup i'm afraid that may look a little weird, I've seen 11 wide on 9x8 beadlocks, doesn't look the BEST in my opinion... IDK... i love the tred though..

These will be used for everything...

Rocks, mx, mud.....

So i'm debating....

I know if i go for the rock/mud favored setup i'll probably say:

CST ambush rear 20x10x9 rear, GBC 21x7x10 front.

If i go with the MX favored setup i'll probably say:

18x10x9 CST ambush rear, STI tech 20(?)x7x10

I say go Sedona's, they're amazing and $200 for front and back. I love mine, they're perfect for just about anything I've ridden so far whether it be sand, pavement, hardpack or river rocks. A buddy of mine has been racing on his for 2 years and they still look brand new.

Some people tell me they can't be that good or everyone would use them. I say buy them and then tell me if you still think that. I've had ITP, Kings Tire, Maxxis Razr's and Artrax; they don't even compare to my Sedona's.

Here's a video of my friend racing MX with his Sedona's, keep in mind these are 21 inch fronts and 20 inch rears, not the typical 20 inch/18 inch setup.

Yeah for the money it's hard to beat, and the lifespan is way longer than most tires I've used. Some started to wear after 2-3 days. They look kinda funny in the picture which is why I didn't put one up, but they're a lot like an ITP Holeshot. The lugs are really big on them, about a 1/4 inch to a 1/2 inch taller than the Holeshot lugs.

Here's them on my friends Kfx

Again that's almost 2 years of use on that set of tires.

i voted for the GBC x rexs. i have razr 2s and i love them for my style of riding, i use them for just about anything terrain wise, they hook amazing.

i do like the sedonas but they remind me of holeshots, while when i see the others i'm thinking razrs...

and 1 t=gbc tire from sams club is $47...thats cheap for a 6-ply tire..

Still gonna be a while though. I'd like to pop my 2 plys off

So this isn't really on subject and i'm not trying to steal the thread but i've got a question. So i've got maxxis razr tires with itp baja rims and there pretty new but now i've got a slow leak in the front left tire :( so i've got a few options 1. i can fill it everytime i want to ride which gets annoying 2. i could try to find the leak and get it patched 3. i could use tire slime but i'm not sure what that will do to my new wheels. ???

Get it patched at a tire shop if possible. Slime doesn't work 100% of the time from my experiences with it.

Before you go thru the trouble of paying a shop:

Inflate the tire a good bit (more than normal) and get some windex and spray all over the tire looking for bubbles. Find the leak and plug it if possible.
