Well all I have been waiting to post this as I build and I almost have all the parts to get the LSR done and I have all except the rims and tires for the walsh. I need to thank some people first and the n some pics of the build. I need to thank Marc (silverlake250r), Eric mullen, Big matt, matt, joe in West Virginia, Collin (Pinned250r), Fourwerx carbon, and many other guys but I can not remember all there names. But these builds would not be possible without them and thenks to all of you guys who bought parts from me to pay for these 2 builds. The candy blue is the Walsh just waiting on the swingarm and lower a-arms from the powder coater, and the hot pink one is the LSR quad for the woman. The a-arms and swingarm is black chrome and everything else is either polished by me or chromed.

More pics to come just waiting on 1 shock from SF racing, he found that my shaft on my pep/works front shock has a hair line crack in it and the new shaft is on back order. And then my upper a-arms are at the chrome shop in WV with my buddy Joe. Should have back soon and then it can be a roller, with one stock front shock. And then all I have to get to be completely done is a black janssen rear antifade hub, black dwt champion wheels in a box and some new tires. Ow and a seat cover and foam from quadtech.

I still have alot of polishing to do, the nerf bars are gonna be polished and black nets, and the baldwin front hubs are getting a nice shine. I got the rad shrouds polished and on, and the shock ressi clamps and all of the the little billet pcs are polished. Its all coming together and its looking awesome, and I know I will ride the crap out of it even though its pink. And it will soon have a quick change clutch cover and a bolt on CT 310 kit too. She is gonna have a nice and fast R. And the only problem is she doesnt have the leg to kick it over and start it, but she can ride the crap out of it though.

That is what i keep telling everybody when they here it is pink, and then when they see it its like man I really do like it. I wanted to do it this way the last time I did it and all talked me out of it. Its turning out awesome though.

Well this is what I got done in just a few hours after work before going to the neighbors bonfire and doing a little drinking. Going tomorrow and geting some new a-arm bolts, washers and lock nuts, and head stay nut & bolts too. Should be a roller by tomorrow evening if I dont go riding the harley all day.

And I found out today that the chromer had some shop issues and I have no idea when I will be getting the upper a-arms back. That is what is holding me up on the LSR build, well that and the cracked front shock shaft. I will have more pics tomorrow night. And sorry about the pics my phone is okay but my normal camera took a crap the other night.

Well my woman and I have been enjoying the neighbors harley, and now I have the itch again for another motorcyle. The quads have been sitting because I have been enjoing this all week long, and now I am looking for either a road king or a street glide. But here it is and today (memorial day) the woman and I are enjoying a nice long riding day and each others company.

Well we rode 390 miles today on the harley and here is a pic of her at one of our smoke stops, and I am sun burnt like a lobster from the sun today. But what a awesome memorial weekend with her and we went to silver lake to see silverlake250r (Marc) and pinned250r (Collin) but there phone was dead. So we had some icecream and then turned around ant went home and made us some dinner.

Thanks dustin, yah we had a great day. When we got home from the ride she asked me if her quads starts, And I said yah if I add coolant and the pipe. But I told her She couldnt ride it cause it doesnt have upper a-arms back from the chromer yet. And SF racing has one of the front shocks, its waiting for a shock shaft. The shaft has a hair line crack and it leaks oil. She is ready to ride though, and after going to Silvefr Lake sand dunes she wants to ride bad.

:eek2: I still can't get over those quads... beautiful!

jamieg45
05-29-2012, 12:28 PM
Yah everyone said that when they heard I was doing a hot pink quad that I was nuts even though its for my woman. But now everyone likes the hot pink lsr bike better than my walsh. And yesterday after our long motorcycle ride the woman wanted to ride her quad and I had to tell her no because we are still waiting on the upper a-arms from the chrome shop. I was beet after 390 miles on the bike but she was ready to ride when we got back. She told me she wants me to get a motorcylce now but I cant sell her quad at all, and she dont want me to get rid of mine either because she and I wouldnt have no one to ride with. And we both love motorcycles and enjoy the riding them in the freedom of the wind and just time together. So now I dont know what to do, I will be getting a harley by next year.

I wouldn't have any bike on the road. I know of SO many people who have been taken by motorcycles around here. One of my sister's close freinds is currently in the hospital, for 6 months now, still unable to do anything... He'll never be the same..

Its a big risk!

jamieg45
05-29-2012, 12:46 PM
I know its a big risk, but I have been riding motorcycles for 19yrs. Instead of just looking out for yourself you have to be aware of everything around you while you ride. I have been very lucky a lady hit me an my cbr 600 when I first started riding and it was minor stuff. My atv wreck was worse than my motorcycle accident. My atv accident I was layed up for 2yrs and have lost the ability to move my ankle and about lost my leg (left leg and ankle is messed up). So shifting is different but I came through it and finished 8th in the state of MI 2 yrs in a row in the Michigan atv state champion series. And I will never give up riding either atv or motorcycle. My atv accident took part of my leg from infection and took the tendons that control my ankle and toe movement. I also blew out my elbow so bad that I had 2 major surgeries on it and it still doesnt go strait all the way, and broke my wrist in 6 places and slit my chin to the bone on the handle bars of the quad. I didnt actually wreck I landed but I was so high up and I flat landed that on impact I had a compound fracture in my left leg, which put my bone out the kevlar in my tech 8 boots. Hit my chin on the bars and broke my wrist and trashedc my right elbow. I will have to post pics soon.

I will have more pics soon, just waiting on some more parts. The a-arms are done at the chromer and on there way to me as we speek, and the new orange fullbore plastic and one of the hinson quick change clutch covers too. Still nothing on the shock shaft yet which really sucks. But the lsr will be done first and hopefully soon after the walsh will be done.

jamieg45
06-11-2012, 08:16 PM
Well I got the a-arms in last week but couldn,t put them on because of the chromer got some in the ball joint threads. Got a tap today and cleaned the threads and got the upper a-arms on and the calipers have new bearrings and the bolts I needed for the rotors too. Brakes are on and the new front rims and tire too, put the carb in and the air boot also. I also got the Nacs stem clamp polished and installed, and have been polishing the nerfs too. All I have left to polish is the front bumper and rear grab bar, that is what she wants. All the parts have been ordered to put the quick change cover on and and I am still waiting on my shock from SF Racing. Here are some pics from today.

I for got the seat cover has been ordered from fourwerx carbon and is beeing made as we speek, and I will be ordering new foam from quad tech tomorrow. And I hope to have her almost wrapped up and rolling by Saturday evening.

jamieg45
06-11-2012, 08:17 PM
And I got new black nets madxe for both bikes and for you Joe, I will be shipping them out wit hyour buddies parts this week.

jamieg45
07-03-2012, 04:52 PM

http://i1258.photobucket.com/albums/ii530/jamieg4558/IMAG0407.jpg

I have to bleed the front brakes and rear also, and double check that everything is tight and pinned correctly. And I have to change the kicker gear to a 86-87 one for the new quick change cover is a 86-87 and I need to put the spacer in for the new cover. And finish all the polishing of the parts. I hope to have it done by this coming weekend, and I will have more pics for you then. Ow and the shock should be done and on its way back from SF Racing this next week.

Very nice job on the builds....been following them real close. The spacer you are talking about for hinson cover-is this something that is still available from honda? I think one of mine I have is a a older model one.

jamieg45
07-04-2012, 06:50 AM
I am not sure if its still available from Honda or not, I just happen to have a couple of complete internals from other R motors and got lucky and had bother the kicker gear and spacer for the 86-87 models. If I have anymore I will need it for my next engine build I'm gonna do, unless I happen to pick up a 88-89 hinson cover. I will look and see what all I have left and let you know or I will see if my buddy has them.

Well Ifinally got the nerfs and the rear grab bar polished and the nets installed. I also got the front shock back from SF Racing today and installed it also. I have to install the ressi mount , the pipe, the lower seal for the steering stem, then the skid plate and make sure that all of the nuts and bolts are nice and tight. Oww and put oil and coolant in the motor, and then set up the front end and she will be riding. I will be installing a compression release valve on the coolhead soon so she can start the motor herself. Here is some pics from late tonight, I will have better picvs tomorrow.

Well I bled the brakes today and fired her up also, I need to do a little tuning and rejet it. (just a little on the fat side) I also put on the new pipe clamp from TM too. All that is left to do is double check all the nuts and bolts and make sure all is tight, but cotter pins in and then put the ac skid plate on also. I will have it all done tomorrow so Saturday we can take it to redbud for quad nationals and ride it around insted of walking everywhere. I will have pics of it done tomorrow evening all done. The walsh will be done soon now, except for having the shocks set up for me. So if any of you guys are at readbud for nationals and you see us riding around stop and say hi.

Awesome looking quads, and boy that garbage can sure does set it off! Can't miss that one! :D

How about a few action shots!

jamieg45

Well the lsr is done and rideable, minus the rear rims are not black or have new rear tires yet. Then a steering stabilizer is needed, cr250r ignition, and a compression release so she can start it on her own. And I will get some action pics for you all this weekend and post them just as soon as I figure out how to post it. And she said it just seemed approtiate to where her new gear to ride today, since it was the inspiration for the color combination and theme for the lsr.

Well I got the walsh as a roller and got the quick change cover on and the motor tightened in the frame. Shock ressi clamps and ressis mounted, wiring in along with the cdi. Slow progress with low funds rite now. But getting to work on it finally and not so many house projects pulling me in every direction as there were earlier this year.

Got the rear rims on, a gift from a friend of mine. And the shock covers finallycame in from sf racing. Its getting there almost done completely.
I gotto take the pipe off and re-seal it, its leaking a little bit, need to re-jet it down also, its a little fat. And I need to cut about a 1/4" off of the outer tierod ends, they are rubbing on the upper a-arms. Let me know what yall think of them both.

Well I have been working on the walsh some lately, and the more I do the more things I find that arent working in my favor. The exhaust fits fine but the silencer doesnt, its not even close to the subframe at all. This is just way different than the lsr and a stock frame.

I got the set for the fronts from a guy on the forums, and the rear one from a friend of mine. The fronts are K&K atv. And the front ones on my LSR were bought off of ebay for like $50.

jamieg45
09-26-2012, 06:49 PM
Well I still have a lot to do to it and order for it, but atleast I can move it around for now. The shocks need to be set up for my weight, I need to order the heims for the aarms and tierod ends, the correct nose piece for the fullbore plastic to attach to the front , and some other things from Walsh. And a +2+1 Chrome stem also and my front tires and rear rims and tires, a chain and a new set of white fullbore plastics. A fwc seat cover, and a scooped hood. Some graphics and i should be done then.
Then the upgrades a cr250 ignition in both bikes, a compression release for here's, and a stroker motor and pipe.
