I have been pondering trying e85. I have read about people converting over for cheaper than racegas and cooler running. I am curious as to what everyone has for jetting with their set up? Please be decriptive. List pilot size , needle size and position, and mainjet and a lil bit of your mods. Just so i get an idea of what everyone is runnig before i start.

I don't personally run it but from what I've read you have to make a pretty big jump in jet sizes. I know from my days browsing the 400ex forum on here that there was a thread there that a bunch of people were talking about pros and cons of e85 and what they had to jet it to. So your best bet may be to do a little searching on the 400ex forum.

I remember seeing a thread like that also.
The only problem is that you can't search "e85" because it's only 3 letters.

Good luck to you!

I raced karts for about 6 years and I we ran ethanol. I know that the jetting is almost twice as much as gasoline. It does run a lot cooler but is harder on your carb and all your fuel system components. It should be a pretty significant power difference. I'd say roughly 10% more power.

i dont think it would be too difficult to convert. i have a lectron 44mm and it can be converted to alky real easy. basically all i would need is to get a alky needle jet, and a second powerjet. i think buying a lectron would be the easiest way to go e85. i got mine cheap
